First RAB Social at the Frog & Night Gown Pub

Thank you to everyone who came out and opened up their hearts to help Boxers in need.  What a great night! It was so much fun. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard at putting this together. Big THANK YOU to Scott and the staff at the Frog & Nightgown Pub.   Scott himself has a Boxer named Marco that he adopted from RAB!!!  Boxer love certainly does make the world go round!!!

The food at the Frog & Night Gown was good, the beer was great and the service and love shown to us was AMAZING!! I know it was a wet night and an early morning rise to watch Team Canada get the Gold!!! So yes it was a double yay!!! YAY for Boxers and yay for Canada!!!

Our sister rescue (Boxer Rescue LA) recently had a boy come in that needed a lot of medical attention.

Gavin was found injured at the Stockton high kill shelter.  He immediately pulled on a lot of heartstrings.  He was possibly hit by a car which resulted in a serious front leg injury. He is not putting any weight on this leg.   The leg injury is a source of severe pain and he is on RX for now.
Gavin will need full x-ray and orthopedic evaluation on how to best fix his leg and return him to 4 paws.  Your donations to Gavin help as every amount, large or small go directly to his ortho repair at our amazing hospital at Western University.

Gavin has many fans and the troops were quickly rallied before he ran out of time at Fresno shelter. He happily limped out of the shelter into awaiting volunteer vehicle to get his journey started. He had a mini-boxer-express to transport him from up north to Los Angeles where he will receive the best care possible.

Gavin's overall condition indicates a less than wonderful life as he also has many pressure sores on his body. This gentle loving old soul deserves a place of honor in a boxer loving home. Boxer Rescue LA will insure that once Gavin is medically sound that he will find that soft spot in life to land.

Each of us at RAB decided that Gavin needed our help.  The 50/50 money that we raised from the evening was to go to help Gavin.   This boy is a happy go lucky boy and although he is in a lot of pain you wouldn't know it.

We had so much support from everyone who attended and the patrons in the bar also participated and fell in love with Gavin's story.  In the end we donated $550 towards Gavin's medical bills.

The winner of our 50/50 draw was our adopter (who adopted Kinga) and supporter Jessica.  Congratulations Jessica!!!  And thank you!!!  Jessica has such a kind heart that she donated some of her winnings back to RAB so that we can donate to Gavin.  What a sweet gesture!

Nothing like talking Boxer all night, eating good food and drinking great beer!!  We look forward to seeing you at more events and hearing more of your Boxer stories!!!
